have a memory or condolence to add?

Julio Jesus Chavez was a valued member of the Fire Lightning tiyospaye and a proud Oglala Lakota tribal member.
Julio will always be remembered for the kind, generous and loving young man that he was. His infectious smile and easy humor were gifts he shared with everyone around him.
Our lives were made better because he shared his charming personality with us.
Julio reminds us that every life is precious so we encourage all parents and siblings to hug each other to hold each other and help each other whenever possible.
There is no blame and there is no shame in his departure. So please love one another better than you did before and keep Julio and his family in your prayers forever. Thank you.

I haven’t seen Julio since he was just a little guy but I do recall his incredibly sweet spirit and kindness that he exuded to all living beings he encountered. He was sweetly shy and infinitely loving.

Julio has always been a great person. He inspired people to do things they didn’t know they can do. Julio always put a smile on my face. I will always remember when Alexia and I were little we used to make fun of his name saying “Juliooooooooooo”

I will never forget all the movie quotes we memorized and said to each other every time we saw each other . Everyone else looked at us confused like " WTF r they talking about "? . He had his own way of being funny. I always asked him "dude do u practice this stuff in your alone time" time he said "yep I do wait till u hear the punch line " (and said nothing) lol .. and as much as I wish I could hear one more funny statement from him , I'm glad I have so many funny memories to go on with to recite in my mind and I know he'll be checking in on me laughing with myself thinking to himself like yep I still got it! 😆😊🤣❤️
I love you so so much pooks! Thank you for the laughs I can turn to when times get a lil hard

I remember Julio when we would go camping. He was always so willing to help put up the tent and anything else that needed to be done. Always with that sweet shy smile of his. He is gone too soon and we will miss him.
