She was the ninth of nine children born to Jack and Ruth. June went to Hilltop, a one room grade school, just south of the Kitzmiller Ranch, for her first three years. She then went to school in Wray living at boarding houses with her sisters Virginia and Bernice. During high school June became a Rainbow Girl and was very proud of that. She also worked part-time at the drugstore on Main St. June graduated from Wray High School in 1949.
June lived in California and Las Vegas before settling in Denver. There she went to business school and worked as a secretary for Bill Diss and an insurance company. She met and married, in November 1958, the love of her life, Earl Stephen “Steve” Campbell. They had three children: Paul Dennis, Roberta Lynn (deceased), and Rebecca Ann. After raising her children, June worked part-time in the North Star Elementary School cafeteria. She attended the Arvada United Methodist Church.
June loved spending time with her granddaughters, going to their activities, being with her family and going on vacations with the family. Watching Broncos and Avs games was a must for her. She loved playing solitaire on her computer and reading. June was interested in all of her nieces and nephews. She talked to them regularly and always had Godly advice for them. After her last sibling’s death, June became the family matriarch to the joy of everyone. She always had a smile and a kind word. She will be missed by all - family and friends. June was proceeded in death by her husband Steve Campbell, daughter Roberta Lynn, her parents, Jack and Ruth Finn, five brothers: a baby boy who died at birth, Virgil, Orin, Hubert and John and three sisters: Mary Brown, Virginia Southwell, and Bernice Crews.
