

Kari Schofield was born in South Korea but was adopted by Paul and Ruth Schofield out of Bozeman Montana while she was still young and living in an orphanage. Kari Schofield passed away peacefully on September 12th, 2025, at the age of 57.
During her life, Kari’s beliefs centered around love, fairness, and empathy. She strongly believed everyone should live a good life, and she would strive to give love and happiness to those around her. She obsessed over plants and nature, she enjoyed a good book, artistic endeavors, or challenging puzzles. She enjoyed listening to and playing the cello and took up Spanish as a second language.
Kari is survived by her loving husband of over 20 years, Michael Kamperman, her niece Joy and nephew Sammy, her daughter-in-law Brittney, and her grandson-in-law Karson. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Schofield, whom she loved and missed dearly.
A funeral service for Kari will be held Thursday, October 2, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery, 10201 Grant St, Thornton, CO 80229.
In lieu of flowers, her family requests donations be made to The Nature Conservancy.
