She was born February 14, 1931 in Sterling, Colorado to Frank and Mary Schell.
Katherine was preceded in death by her son Alan, her sister Caroyln, her brother Frank Jr. and her sister Betty, and her great grandson Luis.
She was a member of Saint Augustine Catholic Church in Brighton and later joined Immaculate Heart of Mary in Northglenn when she moved from Brighton to Northglenn.
From her birth to beet farmers out on the eastern plains of Colorado, to her passing she loved and cared for people. She lead a very humble lifestyle due to her upbringing. She never wanted for anything outside of her means.
At the young age of 19 she married George Edward Sack Sr. Her and George Sr. went on to have four children throughout their 25 year marriage: George Jr., Gary, Alan, and Sharon. Katherine spent those years being a housewife and mother. She devoted her time to her children and marriage.
After that time, she went on to have a variety of interesting jobs. She did things like cook for folks in a nursing home, served lunch to the Denver Broncos, worked at K-Mart, Wendy’s, the Terrace Inn and others. She had a great knack for customer service. She always drew you in with her warm charm and loving nature.
Kathy also had hobbies that included bowling and polka dancing. She loved to cook and bake. She loved to have her family around and felt that food was a way of loving us. I know that we all remember some very delicious meals at her house.
Katherine was survived in death by, her son George, her son Gary, her daughter Sharon, 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, her brother John and her sister Sandy; along with many other family and friends she will be sadly missed.
