I was so sorry to hear this news.  She was one of my best friends in High School.  She would pick me up in her little orange Karmann Ghia every day to go to school.  She was my daughters God Mother and  Julio and I were Deanna's God parents.  She was a good friend.  Life went on and we lost touch with each other, but my memories of her I still hold dear.  I want to give my sincere condolences to her husband and her children.

My connection to Kathy is we shared the same alma mater - She graduated from Mapleton HS in Denver in 75....I graduated in 81.

While my path never crossed with her, I know we both shared the same DNA in our blood for the love of our school.  I am the admin for the Mapleton HS Facebook Page, and I can assure the family that both myself and the over 1600 members offer our deepest condolences.  Kathy will always be a falcon...and a daughter of Mapleton. 

She will be missed and always loved.

Kathy's sweet disposition was her trademark.  She was the ulimate super mom always doing fun things with her kids. She hosted so many of our family celebrations and always decorated for the theme.  She was a good cook and baker.  We waited for her Christmas cookies each year.
 
She was great at crafts and making things special and her kids learned from the best. I still hang ornaments on my tree each year that she made for us 30+ years ago. The love she had for her family was immense and she will be missed by many, a life gone too soon. 

Rest in Peace Sweet Kathy...  we will be sure to give the kids and grandkids extra hugs for you :-)
