It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Keyana Emannuella Perez, affectionately known as "KiKi," who departed this life at the age of 28. Born on May 26, 1997, to Bernadette Vera and Manuel Perez Jr., Keyana's vibrant spirit and loving heart touched everyone she met.
A Life Lived with Joy
Keyana grew up in Thornton, Colorado, and attended Thornton High School, where she was a cheerleader and forged lifelong friendships that remained an important part of her life. She was a social butterfly with a personality that effortlessly drew people in. Keyana was known for being fun, funny, and full of life, and she always had a bright smile on her face.
Her greatest joy and the absolute pride of her life was her daughter, Arianna, whom she loved with all her heart and soul. Keyana also shared a loving relationship with Isaiah Casteneda. She was inseparable from her mother, Bernadette, who was her rock, her support, and her "right-hand woman"—you rarely saw one without the other.
Keyana had a passion for the outdoors and loved fishing, camping, hiking, swimming, and going for long walks. She loved hanging out with friends, family, and going dancing. She especially cherished the holidays, spending time with family, and "cutting up" (joking around) with her cousins.
A Heart of Gold
Keyana possessed a true heart of gold. She had the most loving, caring, and kind soul and was always happy and bubbly. Keyana had a deep commitment to helping others and was a champion for the less fortunate. She loved to help out the communities and the homeless, often urging her mother to give away any extra resources they had, saying, "Mom, let's give to the less fortunate." Her kindness and generosity were boundless, and she welcomed everyone she met with love and kindness.
Keyana leaves behind a loving family who will miss her dearly: her daughter, Arianna; her mother, Bernadette Vera; her father, Manuel Perez Jr.; her brother, Dominick Delatorre, and his wife Pahua, and their children, Memphis and Dominick's daughter Dominique. Keyana was part of a large and close-knit family and will be dearly missed by her many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Keyana’s memory will live on through the countless hearts she touched, and her legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will never be forgotten.
A visitation will be held on November 6, 2025, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery, located at 10201 Grant St, Thornton, CO, 80229. Following the visitation, a Funeral Mass will take place at the same venue at 1:00 pm.
