Laura Jean McAllister

Laura Jean McAllister, a beloved widowed wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2024. Born on November 14, 1939, Laura witnessed and embraced the many changes of a rapidly evolving world. She was a proud and patriotic woman who deeply revered her family.

Laura was a devoted mother to her two sons, James McAllister and Phillip McAllister, and her stepson, Tony McAllister. She was not just a mother but also a grandmother whose wisdom and warmth shaped lives in countless ways. Laura cherished every moment spent with her family, and her sense of humor and infectious laughter could light up even the darkest days.

Known for her amazing work ethic, her perseverance and dedication were an inspiration to all who knew her.

She is survived by her sons, James McAllister and Phillip McAllister, her eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and her two brothers. Laura’s legacy of love, laughter, and hard work will continue to inspire all who knew her.

A public memorial service will be held on Friday, August 16th at 10:00 AM at Olinger Highland Mortuary, 10201 Grant St., Thornton, CO 80229. Following the service, please join the family for a reception in her honor, where lunch and refreshments will be served.

A committal service will be held later that day at 2:00 PM at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W Kenyon Ave., Denver, CO 80229.
