Levi unexpectedly left us on Monday, July 29 at his home in Thornton, Colorado due to a tragic accident. He was welcomed into the loving arms of his father and mother on November 30, 1978 in Pocatello, Idaho, the second of four sons that would be blessed to join them.
Levi got the travel bug from his parents early in life. The family moved to Wheatland, Wyoming when he was 6 months old. Levi was 2 years old when his little brother David joined the traveling circus. Tyler completed the trifecta of the mischievous Dunlap brothers. Before Levi started the 2nd grade the circus took another detour and started a long adventure in Rifle, Colorado where Levi graduated from high school. Levi formed many of his longest friendships in Rifle while playing soccer, basketball and baseball with endless enthusiasm. He liked to win and he liked to lead his teams to victory. His boundless energy truly did know no bounds, which at times was the dismay of those who loved him.
Levi studied at Mesa State College, where he learned practicality and a “little” spanish. It was also there that his friendship, compassion and willingness to help friends grew to fruition.
Eventually Levi announced that he would graduate from college, much to his parents relief. He earned a degree in marketing and management and a minor in Spanish.
Shortly after graduation Levi moved to Denver, where he lived with a fluctuating number of friends and or brothers coming in and out of the revolving door.
Levi had several different jobs in Denver, moved to New Mexico for work, and returned to Denver.
His last position was working where his strengths were obvious to those around him, he assisted clients who had lost their jobs during the recent recession. He helped people everyday and took great pride in his work.
Levi was a gift to his family and all those who knew him, and will be extraordinarily missed.
