Lisa Marie FastHorse

Lisa Marie FastHorse was born in Oakland, California on March 24th of 1969 to James FastHorse and Rachel Comes Charging Crow (Casuse) of Pineridge, South Dakota. She entered the spirit world peacefully on December 31st, 2020 in Denver, Colorado. Lisa was Native American and belonged to the Oglala Sioux Tribe. She grew up on the Reservation in Wolf Creek & Wanblee, South Dakota. Lisa graduated from Pineridge High School in 1987 and attended Job Corps in Utah between 1987 – 1988. In 1989 she gave birth to her first son, Adan Corona. In 1991 her first daughter, Cecilia Zelaya (Juarez) was born – followed by second son Luis Juarez in 1994. Lisa was a single mother who raised her children with the utmost love and care. Lisa was in a loving, long-term relationship with partner Esteban Palacios- Lopez of Denver, Colorado. Lisa was a free spirit. She would be the first to crack a joke and always loved to laugh. She was the life of the party no matter where she was. Her energy was contagious and she could light up any room she walked into. She was caring and selfless – on one occasion it was raining outside and she came across a man waiting in the cold at a bus stop. She took the jacket off her back and gave it to him without hesitation. She would never allow someone to struggle or go hungry if she could help it. Lisa was full of light, she enjoyed many things in life such as the Denver Broncos, Bob Marley / Reggae music, Motown / Oldies, Classic Rock, collecting Dream Catchers, making the best green enchiladas, wearing jewelry, watching monkey videos on YouTube, and visiting with company for hours on end. She was a devoted Christian who loved God and prayer. Lisa is survived by her six siblings to include Monica FastHorse, Jennifer Swallow, Earlyn Tail, Eldean Tail, James FastHorse Jr., Jason FastHorse, & John FastHorse as well as her Mother Evangeline FastHorse from Wolf Creek, SD. Her Nieces: Jessica, Jamie, Jonie, & Jenna Charging Crow. Her Nephews: Francisco Bennett & Juan Acosta- Mendoza and many other extended relatives back home that she loved and adored very much. Lisa is preceded in death by her sister Tonya FastHorse, Mother Rachel Casuse, & Grandfather / Grandmother James and Eleanor Charging Crow.
