Lois Lee (Richard) Fenimore was born on August 06, 1928 to John and Dorothy Richard in Kansas City, Missouri; she peacefully passed away in her sleep on October 11, 2014 in Arvada, Colorado.
Lois spent most of her life in the beautiful state of Colorado. However, she was able to experience the joy of living in Alaska and North Carolina with her family. For 35 years, Lois was a dedicated employee to Safeway grocery stores as a check-out clerk. Lois was an asset to Safeway because she was knowledgeable with food retail establishments. In fact, she owned a grocery store of which she was extremely proud. After retiring from Safeway, Lois kept busy by volunteering at the Arvada Senior Center. She was great with numbers and often taught her friends at the Arvada center how to play games like Pinochle and Mahjong. There was more to Lois than playing card games; she loved watching football and was an avid Broncos fan….she always cheered her team on towards victory.
Lois’ husband, Loren (Shorty) E. Fenimore precedes her in death. She is survived by her two sons, Jerry (Tina) Fenimore, Robert (Vickie) Fenimore; grandchildren: Jenna (Damon) Morrison, Timothy (Jamie) Fenimore, Sandy (Brooks) McGraw, Melinda (Andrew) Vail, and Tammy (Jayson) Majors. Lois also leaves behind 12 great-grandchildren and numerous friends.
Lois was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. The memories together will forever be cherished and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Arrangements under the direction of Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery, Thornton, CO.
