Her legacy is carried forward by her loving family: daughters, Shelly Weikum (and husband, William) and Carrie Troxel; grandson, Lawrence Madison Weikum (and wife, Erin); sisters, Donna Whaley, Marvel Maddy, and Sheri Farnelli, along with their families. Lois was greeted in the afterlife by her beloved husband, Howard Troxel, and daughter, Julie Troxel, who preceded her in passing.
The eldest daughter of Hazel Lois Allen and Marvin Cleo Allen, Lois was raised in the lowan farmland before marrying Howard in 1956 and moving to Colorado. There, she supported him during his college years and nurtured a loving home for their three daughters. Lois' entrepreneurial spirit shone brightly as she co-founded and dedicated over a decade of nurturing young minds at TLC Preschool in Thornton, Colorado. She also played an instrumental role alongside Howard in their mystery shopping business for 30 years.
Lois is lovingly remembered as thoughtful, fun and always active. She was the heart of dinner parties, secret Santa gift exchanges, and the Christian Friends group. Her organizational skills brought to life craft sales, church youth choir travels, and memorable camping trips. An active member of her community, Lois found joy in sewing, knitting, cooking, crafts, family game nights, and puzzles. Her presence was a source of joy and inspiration, leaving an indelible mark on those fortunate to know her.
