“Family First”

It is absolutely fitting that when Lyndi answered the final call of her Lord, she was surrounded by family!

Lyndi McCartney’s life was characterized by unconditional, steadfast love for her family. The July McCartney Family gatherings became legendary under her care and direction.

Her love for her family was undergirded by her love for Jesus Christ, and as a testament to her faithfulness. Her three sons and daughter have all given their lives to Christ and her grandchildren are also following in the faith.

Furthermore, the deep and abiding love she always showed to her family was shared with others. She possessed a unique gift of encouragement that went beyond the bonds of family. From far away and from close by, all who visited Lyndi came away saying, “she encouraged me.”

Each of Lyndi’s children will tell you they think they were her “favorite.” They were correct. Many women, dozens in fact, will say she made them feel like they were “number one with Lyndi.” They were correct. She made new acquaintances feel like lifelong friends. Her ability to build up other people was superior. “Lyndi Mac” was an encourager par excellence.

This is Lyndi McCartney’s legacy.

Though she has departed this world, her legacy of love will go on and on.
