Known affectionately by many names, Malva, Malley, Mom, Grandma Mouse, and Grandma Boo—she was immensely proud of the family she and her late husband, Jerry, created, which includes five children and over 40 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Her greatest joy was being surrounded by those she loved.
Malva was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she built many lasting friendships. She had a passion for music, singing, playing Rummikub, gardening and crafting. And of course we cannot forget her love of dancing. She and her sweetheart, Jerry loved to dance! Her love for the arts was especially evident in the handmade cards she created for family and friends over the years. Her quick wit and ability to bring laughter to others remained with her even in her final days.
Malva sadly passed away on June 12, 2026, in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, surrounded by her loving children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry; her brothers, Thomas and Dean; her mother Ione; father Dean; grandsons Devin and Kolten and son in law, Steve.
She is survived by her brothers and sisters Barbara, Robert, Frank and Cindi her 5 children Virgil (Jocelyn), Lindy(Steve), Mendy (Brent), Tommie (Machiel), and Daniel (Joanie), as well as her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren with another great- great on the way!
A Celebration of Life to honor Malva Luben will be held on Saturday, June 20th, 2026 at 2pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, 12005 E 119th Avenue Henderson, Colorado.
