Margaret was born in her parent’s farm house where Northglenn High School is currently located. She learned to herd and milk cows at a young age. She and her sister Marie lived their entire adult lives in Thornton as next door neighbors on what had been part of the farm.
Her main focus in life was as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother. Margaret volunteered extensively for the Catholic Church including at Holy Cross where all four of her children attended grade school. She was a founding member of Immaculate Heart of Mary parish where she volunteered in the Ladies Auxiliary, FISH and as a Eucharistic Minister.
Margaret is proceeded in death by her beloved husband Steve B Humann, her parents Frank & Andreina (Ferrero) Badding, siblings Joe, Sylvester, Francis, Marie Guiles, Genevieve Fury, Norbert and Edward, as well as her daughter-in-law Debra Humann.
Margaret is survived by her children Margaret/Peggy (Merle) Van Houten, Anita (Tim) Doane, Steve (Terri) Humann, Raymond (Mary) Humann, grandchildren Merle (Robin) Van Houten, Margaret (David) Stegner, Randy Doane, Kristina (Stefan) Elsener, Sydnie (Mike) Schell, Jaynie (Jon) Hill, Steve (Emily) Humann, Samantha (Xander) Kent, Alexis (Brian) Bartley, twelve great-grandchildren and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Olinger Highland Mortuary, 10201 Grant St, Thornton, Colorado, on October 19, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm, followed by a rosary at the same location from 6:30 pm to 7:00 pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 11385 Grant Dr, Northglenn, Colorado, on October 20, 2026. Eulogies will begin at 10:45 am, and mass will begin at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Olinger Highland Cemetery. Following the burial service, a Celebration will be at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
