

Mary Catherine Bloom, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on February 3rd, 2025 in Arvada, Colorado. She was born on May 1st, 1956 in California to the late Steven and Adeline (Calderon) Santoyo.
Mary grew up and attended schools in the Norwalk area. She graduated from John Glenn High School in 1974. After graduation, she attended Cerritos College and earned a degree in Dental Assisting. Following college, Mary worked at Kmart where she met her future husband Lawrence Bloom. Mary was a devoted stay at home mom and later became a food service manager in the Mesa County, Adams 50 and Mapleton School Districts.
Family was extremely important in her life. She enjoyed family vacations to the beach and Disneyland. Mary’s favorite holiday was Christmas and always made it special for her family.
Mary was a lifelong football and baseball fan and her favorite teams were the Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies. Mary coached and managed all stages of competitive softball affecting the lives of hundreds of young women with her passion and love.
Mary is survived by a host of family that includes her devoted husband, Lawrence Bloom; loving children, Andrew Bloom, Jennifer (Bloom) Fulcher, Valerie Bloom, Joseph Bloom; precious grandchildren, Benjamin, Keegan, Jacob, Cooper, and Adeline; Daughter in-laws Annaleah Bloom and Samantha Bloom; Son in-laws David Fulcher and Nick Apolinar; siblings Michael, Julie and Jim. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Steven and Adeline Santoyo.
A Rosary will take place on Thursday, February 20th at 10:30am followed by a mass at 11am with a reception following at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 3141 W 96th Ave in Westminster.
