Growing up on the farm on 72nd and Pecos, Mary was never afraid to dig in and do hard work. She graduated from Westminster High School and went to technical college to get an electronics degree. While in High School she kept busy with many projects, including working at Luby's Cafeteria. After graduating, Mary worked at Coors, following her time with Coors; Mary worked at AT&T. Where after 25 years with AT&T, she retired.
Mary always enjoyed traveling, visiting many states and even going to Europe. Disney and Hawaii became her favorite destinations, especially having her daughter and her grandchildren come along. After retirement she enjoyed her traveling, spending time with her grandkids; which included playing video games, watching Star Trek Voyager, and just talking about life. Mary also loved having lunch and doing a little shopping with good friends.
In her free time, Mary crocheted lap blankets for the VA hospital. John Grisham novels, word puzzles, gardening were her pastimes; and of course, her favorite beverage was Coca-Cola. People will miss seeing and chatting with her on her walks around the neighborhood. We will miss her feisty personality and her dry sense of humor dearly. She was always a very private person but those who knew her, loved her and admired her as a strong woman who never gave up, always fighting.
