Mary Urtado, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away on February 24, 2022 in Westminster, Colorado. She was born on April 19, 1945 in Denver, Colorado to the late Clemente and Mary Bustos.
Family was the most important to Mary. She enjoyed cooking food for her kids every holiday and even times in between. She always enjoyed an opportunity to be out and about, doing things with family.
Mary is survived by two siblings, Albert Bustos and Kim Bustos, two of her children, Joe Urtado and Gabriel Benavidez, twelve precious grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Urtado, her daughter, Regina Benavidez and her son, James Urtado.
Visitation will take place Sunday, March 13, 2022 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery, 10201 Grant St, Thornton, CO 80229. A rosary service will occur Monday, March 14, 2022 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 11385 Grant Drive, Northglenn, CO 80233. A funeral service will occur Monday, March 14, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 11385 Grant Drive, Northglenn, CO 80233..
Serving as pallbearers are Joe Urtado, Gabriel Benavidez, Jeremy Urtado, Dominic Sanchez and Mark Romero.
