

Max C. Hittle of Westminster, Colorado died Wednesday, March 14, 2012. He was 83 years old. Max was born in Cheyenne Wells, CO on October 12, 1928. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary L. Hittle, daughters Connie (John) Gawthrop and Nancy (Chris) Lynch and brothers Leon (Myrna) Hittle of Ft. Collins, CO and Danny (Sue) Hittle of St. Louis, MO. Max is also survived by his two granddaughters Crystal (David) Hyman and Jenny (Steven) Woytek and his five great-grandchildren Holly, Hayden, and Hunter Hyman and Drew and Brett Woytek.
Max was the oldest son of Clifford M. Hittle and Lillian E. Hittle. He was raised in Cheyenne Wells, Colorado where he graduated from Cheyenne County High School in 1946. After high school, Max attended trade school in Chicago. He returned to Cheyenne Wells to marry his high school sweetheart, Mary Lena Peterson, on June 13, 1948. The newlyweds moved to the Denver area where they’ve lived for the past 63 years.
Max enjoyed his career in the lumber and building materials industry for more than 30 years. His hobbies included fishing, boating, camping, and traveling. He has been a Denver Bronco season ticket holder since 1963. Later in life, Max really enjoyed two things-his family (especially his five great-grandchildren) and a good steak.

Funeral Service is Wednesday, March 21, 2012,10:30AM at Northglenn Christian Church, 1800 E 105th, Northglenn, Colorado. Burial will follow the service at 11:00AM at Olinger Highland Cemetery, Thornton, Colorado. Max will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He will be forever in our hearts and in our minds.
