Melissa "Mel" Renee Soderquist

Melissa "Mel" Renee Soderquist, age 45, of Sacramento, California passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2024. Melissa was born on May 23,1979 to her parents Gary and Janet Soderquist in Denver, Colorado.

Melissa graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 1997 in Denver, Colorado. She moved to California in 2013 with the love of her life Rob Vroman, she became a manager and buyer at Green Acres Garden Center. She enjoyed to garden and enjoyed purchasing decor and running a greenhouse for the center. She had a greenthumb and enjoyed making plants and flowers grow. She could tell you the names of any plant in both English and Latin. Melissa loved sea turtles, hummingbirds and especially loved her two fur babies that were like her kids. Music was also a big part of who Melissa was. She would turn on the music the moment she walked into the house or taking a ride in the car. She would even hum in silent moments, she had a wide selection of music that she really enjoyed listening to.

Melissa is survived by her parents Gary and Janet Soderquist, Her brother Mark Soderquist, her life partner Rob Vroman and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She will be deeply missed by her coworkers who considered her a good friend, Melissa had never met a stranger. She will be missed forever by those who had the pleasure to know her and her unique personality. Her smile will be dearly missed.
