Mitch Garcia, age 88, of Thornton, Colorado passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024. Mitch was born on May 1, 1935 in Las Vegas, New Mexico to his parents Antonia Garcia and Joe B. Garcia. Mitch married his beloved wife Elizabeth Ann Garcia in 1961 at Our Lady of Presentation Church.
Mitch went to Technical Institute School of Music and mastered his love for music. He was a recipient of Chicano Music Hall of Fame in 2016 and won the Frankie Laine Scholarship.
Mitch is survived by his Children Renee Gonzales (Daughter), Bobby Gonzales (Son in-law), Joseph Anthony Garcia (Son), his grandchildren Tina Gonzales and Robert Gonzales. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elizabeth Ann Garcia.
Mitch will forever be missed by his Children, extended family and friends. He will be remembered most for his dedication, talent and his kind heart.
A musical tribute for Mitch will be held at Bar 38 Denver (3550 W. 38th Ave. Suite 98, Denver, CO 80211) on February 4, 2024 from 2:00 - 5:00 pm. Please join the family to honor Mitch and celebrate his life and legacy with the family.
