Graduated to Heaven August 29, 1930. The youngest of three, she had two older brothers Gil and Bill. Her father died when she was young and the three children were raised by their single mother, Josephine Miller.
She attended East High School until the 10th grade when she quit and went to Fort Belvour to marry Charles Brigham at the age of 16. From there they started their family and went on to celebrate their 50th anniversary just before he died. Nadine and Bil(Charles) raised 5 children. Carrie, Nancy, Jay, Danny and David. Her family also includes Carrie's husband Butch, Danny's wife Beryl and David's wife Traci. As well as 10 grand children, 1l great grand children and one great great grandchild.
She was active in her children's lives serving with Girl Scouts, Highlander boys and The Boy Scouts of America. She helped her Girl Scout group invent a new badge for Girls Scouts for bowling and it can still be earned today. She helped when needed at Highlanders for son Jay and she attended and completed her Wood Badge leadership training course. She was an active leader in Explorer scouts with her sons Danny and David. She and a friend were the first women to earn that leadership role in Boy Scouts.
She was a woman of many talents including scout crafts, sewing and cake decorating. She was also very active in her church participating in many ministries including the Prayer Chain, Women's and Seniors groups, the Youth Group and even had her own ministry of giving Prayer Bears" to those she prayed for as a reminder to them that someone was always lifting them up in prayer. She loved her children and grandchildren and happily passed down the age old cookie tradition of each child needing one tookie for each hand.
