Nikolaus Huegel

Nikolaus was born in Sakula, Yugoslavia on March 27, 1934 to Peter and Barbara Huegel. At the age of 15, his family immigrated to the United States and he lived in the Denver area for the remainder of his life. Nikolaus started his own shoe making/repair business, which he ran for many years. He received his formal training to become a cobbler while living in Austria. After selling the business, he worked in the pre-stressed concrete industry for the remainder of his career.

Nikolaus met his future wife Eugenie Reinig in Boulder and they were married on July 14, 1956 and had two children. He was also blessed with three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Nikolaus is survived by his wife Eugenie; two children, Tina Huegel and Tim (Gloria) Huegel; three grandchildren, Nick Huegel, Andy (Shayna) Huegel, and Chelsie Huegel; and three great-grandchildren, Julius Huegel, Evan Huegel, and Natalie Huegel.

Visitation is scheduled Thursday, April 7, 2016, 5PM~7PM

Funeral Service: Friday, April 8, 2016 at 1:30 P.M.
