

Pamela was born Ellen Louise Lentz on January 15, 1939 to Ralph and Minnie Lentz in Nebraska City, NB. She was later adopted by John Leonard and Leola Johnson in 1947 of Chappell, NB where she was raised on the family farm. She later graduated from Chappell High School and attended Evangical Luther Jr. College in Wahoo, NB.
Pamela was married to Donald D. Hill in 1958 and had four children, Donald Kirk Hill of Johnstown, CO, Kim Yvette Clark of Wheat Ridge, CO, Kent Lee Ecton of Granbury, TX and Kerry Jay Ecton of Thornton, CO. Pamela was married to Dean Harlan Ecton from 1971-1988 after her divorce from Donald D. Hill and later in 1998 married Delbert Penna where they lived together in Broomfield, CO till May 20, 2013. Pamela and Delbert had 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren that they both cherished and took great pride in.
Pamela and Delbert spent many years together traveling as tourists and visiting their children and grandchildren. She loved to paint landscapes, collect gemstones and write poetry.
Pamela is survived by sisters Joyce Jorgenson of Elk Horn, NB and Carol Coppell of Peoria, IL; brother Rodney Johnson of Wood River, NB. She is preceded in death by a sister her sister Jean Hamm of Red Bay, AL and a grandson John Merrill Ecton (Hill) while serving in the US Navy.
