Patrice Winifred “Pat” Arndt, 79, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2026, leaving behind a life marked by devotion to family, a deep commitment to education, and an appreciation for the simple joys of everyday life.
Born in Omaha, Nebraska, Pat’s life took her to many places, including Texas, Hawaii, Germany, Illinois, Kentucky, and Colorado. Each chapter brought new experiences, friendships, and memories. In her later years, she made her home in Thornton, Colorado.
Pat believed deeply in the value of education and dedicated her professional life to helping others. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Denver and later received a master’s degree in education from Morehead State University. As a special education teacher for 15 years, she devoted herself to her students with patience, compassion, and purpose. Her work reflected her belief in the potential and worth of every individual.
Outside of her career, Pat found pleasure in gardening, nature, art projects, puzzles, and playing bridge—activities that reflected her creativity, curiosity, and appreciation for life's quiet moments. She cherished her family above all and took particular joy in her grandchildren, Peyton and Aaron.
Pat is survived by her husband, Larry; her son, Steve; her daughter-in-law, Amy; and her grandchildren, Peyton and Aaron.
Her life will be remembered with gratitude and affection by those fortunate enough to have known her. Though she is deeply missed, the love she gave, the lives she touched, and the memories she created will remain a lasting part of those she leaves behind.
