Patsy was born and raised in Denver, Co. She attended JFK H.S. She married her high school sweet heart Ray on August 18, 1984. On their first wedding anniversary they welcomed their first daughter Naomi, then five years later they welcomed their second daughter Noelle. Patsy attended beautician school and obtained her cosmetology license. Patsy also worked various other jobs, both her and Ray worked very hard to provide for their family. Their home was always open for family and friends, to stay or just to stop in for a bite to eat of some of their home made Menudo/Posole, beans, chili, or a get together for a bbq.
Tragically on August 10, 2001 Patsy and Ray were in a car accident. Ray died instantly; Patsy suffered severe injuries and was in a sedated Acoma for 2 months. We were all very saddened by the loss of Ray yet grateful and blessed to still have Patsy. It took her about a year for Patsy to be able to walk, talk, feed herself, and continue normal activity. She lived with her mom & dad and continued to get better. Unfortunately mom’s health deteriorated and Patsy and dad cared for her until she passed away on Sept. 2, 2008. Patsy and dad Pat were very close and took care of each other after this time.
Patsy was a wonderful cook, she was very creative and liked to do cross-stitch, she loved her cross word puzzles, and we could always expect her toffee candy at Christmas time. She also love to collect oriental knick-knack, especially her eggs, she was very proud of her collection and would have everything displayed in a curio cabinet and various other shelves. She also had a huge collection of movies and enjoyed watching a movie every night with dad.
She always had fun facts or news for you every day from either the newspaper or just watching the news, and magazines. Patsy had a very unique sense of humor and had corny jokes to tell, but would still make you laugh.
She loved her family very much especially her girls, and she was very proud of her grandbabies who meant the world to her. She always was ordering books, movies, toys, for them and her nephew Lorenzo.
Our Mother, Sister, Grandma, Aunt, Friend will be dearly loved and missed.
Arrangements under the direction of Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery, Thornton, CO.
