Peggy Joyce Woodson

Peggy was born on 7/31/1942 in Ogden, Utah to Joseph Rond and Martina (Scheer) Rond. She grew up in Ogden, UT and graduated from High School there. She Married on 10/17/1964 to Douglas H Woodson in Riverside, CA. After marrying they moved to Northglenn, CO in 1967.

Peggy Obtained an Associate Degree in Business and worked in Administration throughout her career. From working for the Adams County Sheriff's Office and then as the Secretary to the Chief of Police at the Adams County Communications Center. She moved on to work as an Assistant at the Joseph Farber Law Offices and then as a Grants Coordinator at the Eleanor Roosevelt Institute for Cancer Research. She retired in 2002.

Peggy had many hobbies such as traveling, stained glass and she loved reading mysteries and true crime. Peggy was also a great cook, amazing seamstress and incredible at crocheting. She crocheted many afghans for family members. She and her younger daughter also took quilting classes together.

However, her true joy was her children and mostly her grandchildren.

She was a feisty, strong, independent and selfless person. Peggy and Doug were married for over 60 years.

Peggy is survived by her husband, Douglas Holloway Woodson Westminster, CO. She is also survived by her two daughters, Karen Sue Woodson born in 1967 who resides in Broomfield, CO and Jenny Lynn (Woodson) Medina born in 1977 who resides in Westminster, CO. She had 4 Grandchildren, Mark M. Medina 29 yrs, Ivy M. Medina 24 yrs, Chloe N. Medina 20 yrs and Alex X. Medina 19 yrs who all reside in Westminster, CO. Peggy is also survived by one sister, JoAnn (Rond) Nelson in Milton, Utah as well as many Nieces and Nephews all in Utah.

Peggy is preceded in death by her parents as well as her two other sisters, Sally (Rond ) Zinkan and Tina (Rond) Germer.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday June 20th, 2025 beginning at 12:00pm Noon for the viewing and Services beginning at 1:00pm. Olinger Highland Mortuary and Cemetery located at 10201 Grant St, Thornton, CO 80229 will be handling the arrangements.

Interment will be later in Ogden, Utah.
