Rafael “Ralphie” Garcia, 42, passed away on September 13, 2026. Ralphie was born on August 26, 1984, in Las Cruces, New Mexico, a place that would always remain an important part of his life and story.

It was in Las Cruces that Ralphie met the love of his life, Veronica Conde. Together, they built a life centered around love, family, and their four children, Lionicio, Ezmeriah, Lalo, and Eliseo.

Above all else, Ralphie was a true family man. He lived for his children and for Veronica, and nothing meant more to him than being there for the people he loved most. He took great pride in being involved in his children’s lives, whether it was attending their games, coaching school events, activities, or simply spending time together as a family. His greatest joy came from making memories with them and watching his children grow.

Ralphie was also known for his incredible sense of humor and his love of having fun. He could make people laugh without even trying, and those who knew him will never forget his distinct laugh and unmistakable smile. His personality brought energy to any room, and his laughter had a way of making those around him smile too.

He enjoyed fishing, camping, riding, spending time outdoors, attending lowrider events, and cheering on his beloved Las Vegas Raiders. Whether he was out enjoying one of his hobbies or simply surrounded by family and friends, Ralphie loved life and enjoyed sharing good times with the people closest to him.

Professionally, Ralphie worked as a Diesel Technician, a career that reflected his natural mechanical ability and dedication to his trade. He earned an Associate of Occupational Studies degree in Diesel Technology from Lincoln Tech, an accomplishment he worked hard for and could be proud of.

Although Ralphie was born in Las Cruces, he also called Roswell, New Mexico, home for approximately ten and a half years, before later making his home in Thornton, Colorado.

Ralphie was a Christian and carried his faith with him throughout his life. His mother and father, Maria and Larry Bustamante, passed away before him, and his family finds comfort in believing that Ralphie is now reunited with them and together with them once again. Those left to cherish his memory include his life companion partner, Veronica Conde; his children, Lionicio, Ezmeriah, Lalo, and Eliseo and Suegra Consuelo Ceballos, Suegro Raul Conde and all of Veronica’s family; his Uncle Bob, Aunt Gloria, and cousin Rob Bustamante; his sister, Crystal, Cunado Carlos, Suzette, and Lil Carlos Gallardo; his brother Michael Pedroza and partner Emma: His sister Veronica, husband Richard, niece and nephews Nari, Lil Richard, and Joseph Proctor; and little Xochitl Villanueva. Ralphie was preceded in death by his mom Mary S. Bustamante, his dad Larry V. Bustamante; Cousin Marc Bustamante; and numerous aunts and uncles.

He will also be deeply missed by his biological parents Concepcion and Rafael Garcia, many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends, all of whom shared in his life, his laughter, and the memories that made him who he was.

Ralphie leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, family, and unforgettable memories. His family will miss his smile, his laugh, his jokes, his presence, and the way he made ordinary moments feel special. Though his time here was far too short, the love he gave to his family and the memories he created with them will remain forever.

His absence will be felt every day, but Ralphie will continue to live on through his children, his family, the stories they share, and the love he gave so freely.
