

Ramona Jean Dyer passed away on December 13,2022 at the age of 78 at Avamere Transitional Care and Rehabilitation - Malley. She was born in her family home in Edgewater, CO on February 25,1944 to her parents Vivian P. Haney and Murrel M. Dyer.
Ramona had a 7th grade education. Ramona said that she got her first job without applying for it, She would take care of the grocery store owners wife in Enid Oklahoma. Ramona said Grandma Haney and her would shop there often and the grocery store owner had offered her a job. She had many jobs during her life, such as being a preschool teacher, janitorial work, AT&T, caretaker/babysitter, un-official chauffer to her parents, motorhome driver, dog watcher,
In Enid, Oklahoma she was a Sunday school teacher and when she moved back to Colorado, she attended Thrive Church for 43 years.
Ramona moved to Enid, Oklahoma to help Grandma Minnie Haney at age 15. She moved back to Commerce City in 1975 at the age of 31 and has lived in the house on Clermont St. for 47 years.
Ramona loved wood working and painting ceramics and she absolutely loved Christmas. She set up her Christmas town each and every year. Each year she would add to it, the last year the Christmas town was set up it had over 700 pieces.
She was honest and loyal and she had a huge heart. Ramona had many sayings. She was not a woman who liked change. Her entire world was her family.
Ramona is the second oldest of 9 children, she has 1 brother and 7 sisters. She is survived by Jacqueline Power, Carol Hixon, Linda Casaus, Leatha Harding, Cindy Jay, Mary Schoeman. She was a great great-great aunt. 2nd generation - Connie, Jimmy, Richard, Cheryl, Terri, Peggy, Mark, Jessica, Bobby, Tabatha, Jack, Robert, Albert, Darla, Timothy, Jason, Stephanie, Jeremy, Adrean,Jennifer and Carisa. 3rd and 4th and 5th generation. The family count is over 150 and strong.
Ramona was predeceased by her father, Albert G. Colacci in 1998, her mother Vivian P. Colacci in 2009, her brother Jerry Dyer in 2002, and her sister Marsha Morvillo in 2017.
Three words that sum up her life, Wise, Simple and Loyal.
