My heartfelt condolences to all of Papiray's family and friends.

Papiray, you will be missed! I enjoyed seeing you at get-togethers with Joan and Jared. You always had a welcoming smile and a kind word. And I so very much enjoyed seeing you play! I especially remember your performances at Dazzle Jazz and Tony P's with the Neil Bridge group. You were the special guest star, and well deserving of the recognition. Your relaxed smile before and after the shows, your great rhythm and fast hands playing, and oh what a wonderful sound! I feel so honored to have been able to see you play. The choirs of angels in heaven are a bit "cooler" now that you have joined them.

- Susan Gamel, one of Joan Pacheco's sisters
