He is survived by his father, Tomas; mother, Estela; wife, Carissa; grandparents Manuela Sanchez & Marcelo Sanchez; brothers, Carlos Velasquez & Tomas Velasquez (Ashley Kennedy); sister, Lourdes Lona (Frederick Lona); and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
Rene is preceded in death by uncle, Llovani Sanchez; and aunt, Sylvia Sanchez.
