Richard (Dick) Baumgart
Loving Husband, Father and Papa
Richard was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 26, 1937 to Carl Baumgart and Louise Potz. Richard graduated from IIT with a degree in Electrical Engineering and started his work career with Western Electric and continued with them throughout many name changes and retired from Lucent Technologies in 2001. Richard married Geraldine King in 1961 and had two children, Mark and Marie. The Family was transferred to Denver, Colorado 1965 and Denver became home to all.
Richard enjoyed bowling (same team for over 20 years), card playing, his home and family. Richard is survived by his wife Gerrie, son Mark (Wife Patty) and daughter Marie (Husband Mark) Mitchell and 2 dearly loved granddaughters, Mattea and Morgan Mitchell.
He will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered.
Services will be held March 22, 2014 at Olinger Highland Mortuary and Cemetery, Thornton, Colorado
