I too knew of Rich as a Classmate in grade school and High School. He also enrolled in NEI shortly after I did in 1969.
We were roommates. I will never forget when we searched all over Denver for the perfect car His father was to buy him upon completion of his training at NEI and his eventual hiring at Western Electric. We were then co workers and friends for life. To his wonderful wife  and son my prayers are with the two of you in the loss of your Husband and Father Richard. Kenny

I was thinking of Richard yesterday and how missed he will be, and then I saw the IWW posted one of his designs and smiled, knowing his work will live on. Rest in Power, fellow worker!

I never met Richard personally.....  but he was a man that had some great ideas and spread them out to many.  he touched many lives.....   R.I.P.  I hope the good fight continues in your name.

Richard will be sorely missed. What a great man. It was my sincere pleasure and privilege to know him.

Though we were only Facebook friends, I admired him very much, and had come to rely on him for information. He will be sorely missed. My sympathy goes out to his wife and son.

A very kind person who would help anybody.

Richard was a wonderful person who worked tirelessly to fight for justice.  He left a bright and shining mark on the world.  He is sorely missed.
