Rita was born April 1, 1930 in Walker, Kansas in a tough time for this country at war, with a depression that struck hard to all people in the United States. Rita had six sisters and one brother to help the family through this tough time. On October 24, 1951, she married Anthony (Tony) Giebler in St. Joseph church in Hays Kansas.
Rita is survived by her husband Tony Giebler, her sons Gerald, and Harold, her daughter Rose Ann. She has five grand children; Cheyanne, Misty, Jessica, and Rebecca, along with six great grand children. Rita had another daughter Karen who proceeded her in life.
Rita lived the last 26 years in Hartsel, Colorado with her husband in retirement. They were members of the Fairplay senior citizens association which provided assistance to senior citizens in the county. Rita also attended to buffalo at one of the ranches in the county. Her work earned her the title of buffalo mom.
Rita was a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother. Caretaker of wildlife, model citizen who loved God and Country as much as life itself she will be missed very much by family and all loved ones.
