

Robert Lee Holifield, Jr, of Thornton, Colorado passed away on Saturday, September 6 in Thornton, Colorado. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, son and brother to all that knew and loved him. He was born on May 7, 1974, in Wheat Ridge, Colorado to Robert Lee Holifield Sr, and Violet Sue (Suggs) Holifield.
Robert attended University of Northern Colorado where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management in 1996. He developed a distinctive managerial career in IT Infrastructure for the oil and gas industry. He took pride in his work and guiding his team in many big projects, where he developed lasting friendships.
Rob met his loving wife, Tia, during college. They got married August 15, 1998, spent a wonderful 27 years together and had two beautiful children. His devotion to family was beyond words. He loved coaching his children through the years. He coached them in football and volleyball, during which he left an impact on many other youths.
Rob loved camping, fishing, and being outdoors. He enjoyed traveling around the world. Every opportunity Rob had he took a trip to the ocean so that he could cruise on a sailboat. He took pride in his cooking and barbecuing, which he called his prescription (Rx) BBQ. Anytime a project needed to be done he took the chance to master it and would teach his wife or children how to do it. He enjoyed passing on all the knowledge and experience he acquired.
He is survived by his loving wife Tia Elizabeth (Palmer) Holifield; children; Robert (Bo) Lee Holifield III, McKenna Elizabeth Holifield; mother, Violet Sue (Suggs) Holifield; sisters, Georgetta (Holifield) Smith and Carol (Holifield) Kuntz; his brothers and sister-in-law; as well as many loving nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Holifield Sr; grandparents, Julius Ernest Holifield, Ida Ruth (Lietzke) Holifield, George V. Suggs and Goldie Elizabeth (Ashworth) Suggs.
The Memorial Service will be held on Monday September 15th at 10:00 AM at Olinger Highland Mortuary Heritage Hall.
