Ronald was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was devoted to his wife, Gale Cook, and to his family. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a way of making people laugh, even in the simplest moments.
Ronald proudly served four years in the United States Air Force as a cook. After his military service, he worked in the produce department at King Soopers for more than 50 years before retiring.
He loved the outdoors, especially taking mountain drives and road trips, being near rivers and the wilderness, working in the yard, gardening, and growing vegetables. He also enjoyed playing computer games and spending time with his family. He especially loved his dogs, Gracy and Precious, who both preceded him in death.
Ronald was always there for his daughter, Debbi Harvey. He went with her to her children’s doctor appointments throughout her pregnancies and never missed an appointment. He was there for the deliveries of his grandchildren and continued to be a steady and loving presence in their lives.
He also loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly. His family will remember his laughter, his stories, his teasing sense of humor, and the many little moments that made him who he was.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Gale Cook; his daughter, Debbi Harvey and her partner, Jeff Green; his stepchild, Pat Lorenzo; his grandchildren, Bobbie, Drew, and Dave; and his great-grandsons, Preston, Charlie, Jacob, Nicholas, and Lucas.
He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Cook, and his grandson Timothy “Buster” Cook, who passed away two weeks after birth.
Ronald’s family will always remember him as a funny, loving, caring man who gave so much of himself to the people he loved. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on through his family and all the lives he touched.
