Ronald James Manzanares

May 28, 1946 – October 10, 2020
Obituary of Ronald James Manzanares
IN THE CARE OF

Olinger Funeral, Cremation & Cemetery - Highland

It is with deep sadness we share the passing of our “Beloved Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, Nino”, Ron (Jim), who went to be with our Lord October 10, 2020, at St. Anthony Hospital. His daughter, Pat, was by his side. Jim was born May 28, 1946 in Alamosa, CO to his parents John Ben Manzanares and Katy Marie Maes. Jim was the youngest of 14 born in the family.

Jim worked for Keebler’s 29 years. He would come home from work smelling like cookies. His grandchildren called him Grandpa Cookie. He loved dressing up and putting on his cologne. We will never forget his smile, charm and how good he would smell. He loved to make us laugh with his impersonation of Elvis Presley, singing and dancing. He loved his Elvis music and movies. He was a family man. He loved decorating the house and Christmas tree with the coolest decorations. He enjoyed seeing smiles on all of our faces. We will forever miss him.

Jim is preceded in death by Spouse, Eva Manzanares; Parents, John, Katy; Brothers, Ivan, Rudy, Eddie, Julian, Alfredo; Sisters, Sylvia, Della; Grandson Isaac.

Those he is survived by to cherish his loving memory are: Children, Rodney, Patricia (Husband Manuel), Steve, Kenny (Wife Athena), Denise (Husband Mitch); Brothers, Orlando, John; Sisters, Lucy, Ruth, Lorraine, Peggy; Grandchildren, Dominic, Lauren, Isabella, Josiah, Brooke, Kenny, Ashley, Brittany, Kori, Isaiah; Great Grandchildren, Damion, Malachi, Miya, Eva.
