

Ronald Miltenberger, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend passed away on June 1st, 2024, at the age of 79. He was born on August 28th, 1944, in Dayton, Ohio to Dorothy and Raymond Miltenberger.
Ron moved to Tucson, Arizona with his family at a young age. After graduating from Rincon High School, he joined the Navy and was assigned to the Marines as a corpsman in Vietnam. He served his country faithfully and was honorably discharged on July 18,1967.
After returning to the states, Ron married Joni Perry and moved back to Tucson, Arizona where he joined the Tucson Police Department and served for 21 years before retiring. During this time, he and Joni had two children, Ami and Chad.
In 1986, Ron married his loving wife, Catherine Thompson, and together they created a beautiful life filled with love and happiness. Ron was a caring and dedicated stepfather to Russell and Bill.
Ron is survived by his wife Catherine and his children, Ami Vale and Chad Miltenberger, stepson Bill Thompson, and grandchildren Nicholas, Kelsey, Nathan, and Madison Thompson, Rebekah and Stephanie Vale, and Gianna Miltenberger, as well as his sister Sandy Campbell. A special mention for his loving dog, Max.
Ron will be remembered for his dedication to his family and friends, his service to his country and community, and his unwavering love for his wife. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him and remembered for his heartfelt and infectious laugh.
A memorial service will be held in Ron’s honor on June 24th at 3:30 pm at Ft Logan National Cemetery, Pavilion Area B.
