Roseanne "Pat" Valdez

Pat was born to Tony Montoya and Margaret Ramirez on November 1, 1954, in Denver, Colorado. A lifelong Coloradan, she found her spiritual home in the Pentecostal Church, where she served faithfully throughout her life. She touched countless lives through her passion for ministry, obtaining her Minister License in January 2016 and directing several church choirs with joy and devotion.

On September 13, 2000, Pat married the love of her life, Fred “Gene” Valdez, in Denver. Together, they made their home in Westminster, where she shared her love of singing, cooking, and bringing people together. Pat had a gift for making everyone feel like family. Her warmth, kindness, and endless ability to love made everyone feel like they belonged no matter where she was.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Fred “Gene” Valdez; her beloved son, Matthew Archuleta; grandchildren Anthony Montoya Jr., David Montoya, Andrew Montoya, Aiden Archuleta, Arianna Montoya, and Elias Montoya; and great-grandchildren Lexi Montoya and Andrew Montoya Jr. She is also survived by her siblings Marcella Martinez, James Montoya, John Montoya, and Donna Montoya.

She is preceded in death by her son, Anthony Montoya, and her siblings, Richard Montoya, Ned Montoya, Lawrence Montoya, Mary Garcia, Margaret Monreal, and Anthony Montoya.

A public service will be held in her honor at 10:00am on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Olinger Highland Mortuary, 10201 Grant St., Thornton, CO 80229.
