It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ruth Meier, aged 97. Ruth was born on January 8, 1928, in Fort Morgan to Alexander and Katherine Elizabeth Heilbrun. She passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and warmth.
On April 24, 1946, Ruth married LeRoy Meier in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, beginning a lifelong partnership filled with devotion and shared memories. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, LeRoy Meier (1926–2004).
She is survived by her children, Gloria Rosenbach, Jerry Meier and Barb Meier. Her grandchildren, Jim Tolvo, Joe Tolvo, Jen Schreck, John Meier. Great grandchildren are Rory Tolvo, Annabella Tolvo, Gino Tolvo, Nick Schreck, and Grace Schreck. Great great grandchildren are Vincent Tolvo and Analise Tolvo. Her siblings, Henry, Alec, Dan, Harold, Elmer, Herman, Ruth, Helen, Louise and Artie.
Ruth will be remembered most fondly as an amazing mother, a gifted cook, and for her wonderful sense of humor that brought joy to all who knew her. Her kindness and laughter touched the hearts of family and friends alike, creating lasting memories that will be cherished forever.
A visitation for Ruth will be held Friday, June 6, 2025 from 10:00 AM at Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery, 10201 Grant St, Thornton, CO 80229. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. We will lay Ruth to rest at 12:00 PM at Olinger Highland Cemetery - Everlasting Peace Chapel Mausoleum, 10201 Grant St, Thornton, CO 80229.
