I regret that I was never able to meet Mrs. Rainey in person, but we corresponded by mail, and had many, many telephone conversations over the last few years.  What began as a "business" relationship, turned into a friendship. She was truly one of the most interesting people I have ever known.  She loved her family and was extremely proud of each of her children.  

I just heard of Mrs. Rainey's passing a couple of days ago, and although we had never met face to face, and it's been several months since we talked, I am so saddened by this news.  I cared very much about her. 
 
To Mrs. Rainey's family:  I am so sorry for your loss and pray for your comfort as you adjust to life without her.  I know she will be greatly missed.

I never met Ruthie but because of my friend Tracy I know a little bit about her. She sure raised a good son and I can only surmise that she was quite a matriarch. Thoughts and prayers for all the family.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

I worked with Ruth at DPS. She was an awesome lady.  R.I.P.
