SANDRA LYNNE OTIS was born on January 16, 1945 in Kadoka, South Dakota to Glen and Florence (Folsom) Gropper. Glen was stationed in Europe at the time with the United States Army. Sandra (Sandi) attended Kadoka schools K-12 and graduated from high school in 1963. She attended college in Rapid City, S.D. prior to moving to Denver, CO in 1964.
Sandi married Paul Otis on December 8, 1973 and gave birth to their son Darrell Dean Otis on July 13, 1975. Throughout their marriage of 42 years, they maintained homes in Thornton, CO, Cheyenne, WY, and Glenmore, PA due to Paul’s transfers with AT&T. Paul and Sandi were extremely happy to return to CO in 1987. Sandi was employed at First National Bank of Denver, Central Bank of Denver, Janus Fund, Bell Laboratories, Cheyenne, WY School District, and Adams County Office of County Commissioners from which she retired in 1988.
Sandi was preceded in death by her father Glen Gropper and her only sibling, Rodney Dean Gropper. She is survived by her husband Paul, son Darrell, her mother Florence of Kadoka, SD, three nieces and their six sons and daughters.
