Stephanie Lynn Trujillo

Stephanie Lynn Trujillo age 62, passed away May 21st, 2026 in Westminster. She is preceded in death by her father Otoniel Trujillo. She is survived by her mother Lila Trujillo, Husband Gary Trujillo, Daughter Shatara Garcia (Alvineo), Sister Janelle Leger (Edward), Brother Otoniel "Otto" Trujillo and many other family members. Stephanie was born in Boulder, Colorado in 1964. Early on in life she lived in Antonito, Colorado where her parents owned a drug store. The family slowly moved their way to Westminster, Colorado. Stephanie attended Westminster High School where she met her husband Gary. After high school Stephanie went to cosmetology school where she became a hair stylist, then changed careers to customer service while still doing hair. Stephanie had her only daughter Shatara in January of 1985 and she loved camping in the mountains so much she was married to Gary in Deckers, Colorado on Memorial day weekend in 1988, just missing their 38 year wedding anniversary this year. Stephanie was a free spirit and loved having fun, she loved music of all types and made sure she passed on her love of music to her daughter. Stephanie had no grandchildren but she loved her grand puppies and kitties just the same. She would spoil them whenever they went over her house, especially during the holidays where their presents were always wrapped. Late in life Stephanie faced numerous challenges with her health. These challenges slowly dimmed her light, fighting with everything she had until the end. Stephanie loved her family immensely adopting the motto "I love you as big, as the universe. And do you know how big the universe is? It never ends." Something that Gary and Shatara live by to this day.
