Suzann Suzy Elaine Burley

Suzann (Suzy) Elaine Burley, of Englewood, Colorado, passed away at home from ALS on Thursday, July 14th, 2022. She was 71 years old. Suzanne was born in Denver, Colorado on September 10, 1950 to Kasumi and Kiku (Peggy) Miyamoto, who preceded her in death.

Suzy graduated from Adams City H.S. as well as the University of Colorado in Boulder. She went on to a 32 year career with United Airlines before retiring for the first time. Following her career with the airlines, Suzann went on to work for her accountant, Don Jackson, at Stone Pine Accounting where she retired again in December.

Suzy loved to play golf with friends or in competition. She played very successfully in the GI/UAL and Working Women's golf leagues with friends and in the CWGA and USGA for competition and friendship. To everyone she knew or met, she always had a smile and a kind word.

Suzy was loved and will be missed.

Suzy is survived by her husband, John Ward; her brothers, Paul Miyamoto, Glenn Miyamoto, Raymond Miyamoto; their families, cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

A memorial service for Suzy will be held Saturday, August 20, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery, 10201 Grant St, Thornton, CO 80229. A reception gathering will occur Saturday, August 20, 2022, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at Cinzzetti's, 281 West 104th Ave., Northglenn, CO.

A committal service will occur Saturday, August 20, 2022, from 2:00 PM to 2:20 PM at Olinger Highland Cemetery, 10201 Grant Street, Thornton, CO.
