On Sunday June 8, 2025, our dear Thelma Edna Vigil of Thornton Colorado was taken home to rest. Thelma was born on January 13, 1945, in Southern Colorado and was 80 years old when she passed away. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Joe Vigil. Her daughter Monica Barela, grandson Vincent Vigil and her mother and father, Ernesto and Odelia Madril. Including her brothers, Eugene, Ernest and Alonzo Madril and sister Dana Chavez.
She is survived by four brothers: Mike, Randy, Adam and Ross and two sisters: Elsie and Mercy with many, many other family members.
Thelma was a loving woman who raised seven children: Sam (spouse Annette), Robert (spouse Patricia), Gerri, Chris (spouse Samantha), Monica, Anthony (spouse Carla) and Anita (spouse Bennie Maestas). She had 23 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. She loved and cherished her beloved Corgi, Kylo. She loved playing bingo and going to Black Hawk.
