

Thomas “Tom” Anthony Simone was 80 years old, he passed away on April 14, 2023, in Thornton Colorado. He was born November 17, 1942, in Brooklyn, New York. On September 19, 1965, in Maspeth, New York he married his soulmate and lifelong love, Rosemarie Gangone.
Tom attended Bushwick High School and Barber School in Manhattan, New York.
He began his lifelong passion of being a barber when he was 16. He owned numerous prestigious barber shops and salons in New York City, and Saugerties, New York, where he also served as a volunteer firefighter, and his most recent business of 37 years, The Cutting Experience in Downtown Denver, Colorado.
In 1982 he took a one-year break from barbering and took on the responsibility of owning a family run pet store “Feathers ‘n Fins”. This evolved into his love for exotic birds and special breed dogs.
Tom was very proud of his Italian heritage, and he became a member of the Sons of Italy Club. His passion for classic cars caused him to become a member of the Antique Auto Club. Later in life he found enjoyment on his new Can-Am Spyder motorcycle which led him to become a member of the Colorado Motorcycle Touring Club.
The first part of his life was spent in New York City and Woodstock, New York. In 1981 he moved his family to Littleton, Colorado. Over the years he resided in Denver, Colorado, and spent the last 20 years in Thornton, Colorado.
Tom was a strong willed and determined hard worker, and a highly respected businessman who was well known in his community.
He was very proud of the work and profession he chose. He was spotlighted in The Rocky Mountain Newspaper multiple times regarding his barbershop and his experiences with influential community leaders.
Anyone who knew Tom knew of his passion of enjoying a fine cigar.
Tom’s family meant the world to him. He spent his life being the best husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, father-in-law, brother, and uncle he could possibly be. Those traits led him to be a highly respected mentor and father figure to many of his clients.
Tom is survived by his wife Rosemarie Simone, his children: Dawn Davis (Chris Davis), Guy Simone (Kendra Simone), his grandchildren: James Davis, Joe Davis, Marissa Martinez, Symone Martinez, London Simone, his Great Grandchildren: Romeo Martinez, Joey Davis, his brothers: Anthony Simone (Mary Simone), Frank Simone (Kathy Simone), and his nephew & nieces.
Tom was predeceased by his parents Anthony & Mary Simone.
