Retired, Mechanic and Navy Veteran
Troy Showalter, age 56, passed away peacefully at his home in Northglenn Colorado on March 25, 2021. Troy was born March 31, 1964 in Houston, TX to Roy and Gloria Showalter. Troy joined the Navy, following his graduation from Westminster High School in 1982, where he was onboard the USS John F. Kennedy CV-67. Stationed in Virginia Beach, where he met and married the woman of his dreams Tammy, the two married on March 16, 1985. Shortly after the couple had two children, Troy Jr, in 1985 and Tiffany, in 1987. Troy honorably discharged from the US Navy in 1989 and the family moved back to Colorado. Troy was a very hands on man, both with construction and cars. He started a dry wall company soon after moving back to Colorado, which he enjoyed for years, until deciding to take on the automotive repair field. Troy worked as a service mechanic for 10 years, until deciding to open his own Automotive and Diesel Repair Shop with his brother in law Joe in 1997. Troy retired from the company in 2008, but he would still help out periodically, as he’s not one to just sit around and do nothing/ living the retired life.
Troy was survived by his wife Tammy Showalter, his son, Troy Showalter Jr. and his wife Alli, his daughter, Tiffany Showalter, his mother, Gloria Showalter, his sister, Ginger Rigali and her husband Joe, his nephew Nicholas, his niece, Lacey and two adoring granddaughters: Scarlett and Amelia. As well as many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Showalter.
