Victor Robert Mendez was born on November 24, 1948, he passed away on June 1, 2021 at the age of 72. He was born in Denver, Co to Lino and Esther Mendez. Victor was blessed to have a big family of 15 siblings. He attended Lincoln High school and went to College at UNC, Greeley. During high school and college he was an outstanding runner and achieved many records. On June 14, 1975, he married Karen Boggs Mendez and had 3 children, Michelle, Kathy and Andrew. Victor worked for Denver Public Schools for 32 years as a History Teacher and 6 years as a substitute teacher. The last 17 years of his life was spent with Beverly Wagoner. Throughout his life he was known for his sense of humor, his jokes, his laugh and hand rubbing. Victor loved his family more than anything. He was a loving father and grandfather, he was also a man of faith. Victor is survived by Michelle and Jason Strong, Kathy Mendez, Michael Williams, Andrew and Leah Mendez, his grandchildren, Jacob Williams, Spencer Strong, Skyler Strong, Michaela Williams and Ruby Mendez-Swenson. His siblings Sally Moncivais, John Mendez and Betty Gardino. As well as his girlfriend Beverly Wagoner. Victor will be tremendously missed but his memories will be forever in our hearts.
The celebration of Victor's life will continue after the burial service at 1510 S. Upham St., Lakewood, 80232.
