Wesley Dean Fishell age 89, passed away on Good Friday, March 29, 2024 at Coal Creek Rehabilitation Center in Lafayette, Colorado. Wesley was born November 3, 1934 to Roy and Emma Fishell at Deshler, Nebraska.
He then graduated from Hebron High School in 1952 and on November 13, 1954 he and Margaret Rinke were united in marriage. He became stepfather to Frank Rinke and along with Margaret they raised three sons together, Mark, David and Chris. Shortly after their wedding, Margaret and Wes moved to Lincoln, Nebraska where he worked as a Gas Station Attendant and son, Mark was born. In 1957 their small family moved to Denver, Colorado with hopes and dreams for their future.
Wesley continued his education and graduated from a Diesel Mechanic correspondence course in Chicago, Illinois. This training opened up an employment opportunity with Colorado Builders Supply Company. As his knowledge increased in the business world, Wes became Sole Proprietor of Key Truck and Diesel Repair in 1971. Not only did his company provide a comfortable lifestyle for himself and Margaret, but also for each of their sons and numerous employees as well.
Wes was a devoted husband and father. As a businessman, he wisely saved and spent every dime carefully. As a provider, he generously gave all he had to his wife, family and friends. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him, friends and family alike.
Wesley is survived by stepson Frank, son Mark (Debbie), David (Suzanne), and daughter-in-law, Miriam. Grandchildren Katie (Matt) Avery, Meagan (Neil) Wakefield, and Daniel Fishell. Great Grandchildren Symon Montague, Aspen Avery and Christine Wakefield. As well as nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret, January 26, 2021. His son, Christan, August 5, 2013 and his brother, Haskell Fishell, May 12, 2022.
