Alice had a very special connection with many people in her life. She had a way of showing her love and care so that everyone felt that deep connection. She was genuinely interested and showed that to the people in her life.
Alice was a master gardener. She took classes and was a certified master gardener. Anyone who had a chance to walk the yard with her could see that she was very talented in this area. I would bet that many of us have plants in our yards that she has gifted us. She even traveled with her master gardener group to China!
Alice loved pets. Many of them over the years found her and she took them in and cared for them. Most of her pets were cats. She even had 2 rabbits who arrived in her yard and lived out their lives safely there. Alice also always cared for pets of family members. She loved that special time with them. It was another way that she showed her love for her family by caring for their beloved fur babies when needed.
Alice volunteered in the senior center meals on wheels program and also at a food pantry putting together food boxes for people in need. She also attended Tigard Christian Church and volunteered in the VBS program for many years.
Alice was an avid reader. She especially enjoyed reading about ancient civilizations, history, nature, gardening, mysteries and even cook books. She also enjoyed canning, fishing, beach combing, stargazing, and more.
