Blenda Morrene Jones was born on the 29th of February 1940 in Soda Springs, ID, to Leland Jacob Maxwell and Edith Adeline Warrington Maxwell. Being born in a leap year was a fun fact for her and her family. She had many happy times with her parents, enjoying mountain fishing trips and traveling together to new places. Her family will always treasure the warmth, laughter, and love she shared, holding dear the memories of her joyful singing and dancing.
Blenda worked as a secretary for an insurance agency and then as a legal secretary for Clackamas County in Oregon. She took great pride in her work and made many friends. She belonged to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints and her testimony of her Savior was strong and brought her joy and peace. She was happy to be going home to Him, and her faith brought her through many great trials. She taught her children that they were strong enough to come through any challenge and that there is always light after the darkness. She had fortitude and strength and fiercely loved her family. Each of her children brought her joy, and she loved having long talks with them and sharing in their lives. She was devoted to her family and eventually married Kenneth Charles Jones in 1987, who was the love of her life. They shared nearly 40 years of love and unwavering support for one another
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, and their wives. Roy Allen and Delores Knowles Maxwell, Forrest Jacob and Connie Jenson Maxwell. A granddaughter, Shannon Morrene Green, and a grandson, Ian Jones, also preceded her in death.
